Having a party can be a huge ordeal. There is so much to organize all at once, and one of the most important things that you will need to take care of at basically any party is what sort of favors you are going to give away.
Of course, you don’t have to give away party favors to your guests, but you can be sure that guests will always appreciate this kind gesture. Here are a few great ideas for savvy party favors.
1. The decorations
One of the things you will need to do to prepare for your party is decorate. Why not let the guests of your party take on the decorations that you have either created or bought? They can use them to decorate their own homes.
2. Glasses they can take home
Again, use items that you purchased just for your party to give away as gifts. Likely, there will be some sort of beverage served at your party. Have each guest take their beverage holder home with them as a great parting gift.
Everybody loves a nice smelling candle. Candles are a great party gift to give away at any sort of event. At dinner parties, place a small candle at each person’s place setting, or have a grab a bag of small candles available at a non-dinner party.
4. Quality writing utensils
Having good writing utensils is always a plus, but people don’t often by utensils themselves. They just use whatever they find lying around. If you want to give your guests something they can really use, let them take home a writing utensil from your event. If your party has a theme, getting special pens or pencils printed with the party theme on them is a great gift.
5. Sweets and treats
Sweets and treats will likely be served at your party, but why not send each party guest home with their own little grab bag as well? This is one of the easiest party favors to give out because you can make these up as you are making the food that you will be serving at your party. This kills two birds with one stone. Alternatively, if you don’t feel like making the sweets and delights yourself, you can always buy little treat to give out.
Finally, if this is an adult party that you’re throwing, a small portion of alcohol as a fun gift is never a bad idea. One thing to remember is to only send home sealed alcohol bottles so that your guests can enjoy their beverages safely from their own homes. A bottle of wine or a mini bottle of schnapps or scotch could be a great gift.
