Even though it is so healthy and beneficial to your heart, many people dread the times when they have to workout. A lot of times, people pick exercises that aren’t fun or motivating. If you hate the idea of long-distance running, try to avoid doing that exercise. There are plenty of other ways to get a great cardio workout that are creative, fun, or happen so quickly you forget it happened. It is important to put in the effort because this is regarding your overall health. Try these six creative ways to weave some extra cardio workouts into your weekly routine.
Whether you love salsa dance, hip hop dance, or modern dance, there’s a dance class out there for anyone. If you’re a beginner, it’s fine. You don’t have to take yourself too seriously. Just get your blood pumping by having a fun dance fest in the living room for a half an hour. You will release any stressful emotions, burn calories, and get in a bit of cardio.
2. Jump Rope
Jumping rope is an excellent way to burn calories and get the heart rate up. It’s also a great form of cardio that’s very quick. After ten solid minutes of jumping rate, you’ll be more out of breath than you might be on a treadmill.
3. Jumping Jacks
Unlike jump rope, jumping jacks don’t require any extra equipment. You can do a bunch of jumping jacks anywhere and get an excellent workout. In the morning, do one hundred jumping jacks as soon as you get out of the bed. If you do this act a couple times a day, you will burn tons of calories and keep your heart health in an awesome place.
4. HIIT Training
HIIT Training stands for high-intensity interval training. With this type of training, you challenge the body by alternating the speed and intensity of the movements. A lot of times, the body goes into a plateau mode because it knows what’s coming and it knows what to expect. HIIT workouts are also awesome because they are usually no more than thirty minutes at a time. They’re very efficient for anyone who is short on time and still wants a heart-pumping workout.
Burpees are usually dreaded by most people. They are very rewarding once you get through the workout and they’re also very quick. If you just make it a point to do complete a few of these, you’ll incorporate a great deal of cardio in a very short span of time.
6. Playing a Sport
Choose a sport you enjoy. Basketball, tennis, and swimming are excellent forms of cardiovascular activity. They require your whole body and quick movements. These exercises are also great for building your endurance.
