In order to keep your strands luscious, lustrous, and healthy, you will have to put in some work. It takes maintenance in order to have beautiful hair. In addition to the maintenance, you need to have the right products in order to achieve the results you want. Even though each woman is different and regimens may vary, there are a few basic rules that will apply to almost any head of hair. It doesn’t matter if your hair is curly, straight, wild, or unruly, get these five crucial products and keep your hair shining and healthy.
1. Clarifying Shampoo
Right now, there are a lot of different shampoos on the market. Some shampoos promise to moisturize. Other shampoos promise to protect hair color. At the core, these products are fine. The only issue is that you desperately need a shampoo that will cleanse your hair and scalp. It makes no sense to have a moisturizing shampoo that only moisturizes the build-up in your hair. If you’re dealing with lots of hairspray, gel, and hair products on your strands, you need to clarify and cleanse the hair and get rid of the dirt. You don’t need to use a clarifying shampoo every single wash because it can potentially dry out your hair. Just make sure it’s a part of your regular rotation.
2. Moisturizing Conditioner
As previously mentioned, cleansing shampoo has the potential to strip the oils from the hair and dry it out. In order to restore the hair once it has been cleansed, use a moisturizing conditioner to restore moisture. After you’ve rinsed the shampoo out of your hair with cool water, apply the moisturizing conditioner. Allow it to sit for a few minutes and then rinse it out with cool water as well. This will make a dramatic difference in how your hair feels.
3. Deep Conditioner
Depending on your hair type and texture, purchase a suitable deep conditioner to restore moisture and vitality to the strands. There are a lot of elements that pull and break down the hair follicles over time. A deep conditioning treatment is like a spa treatment for your hair. Consider a great tune-up for keeping your hair beautiful and healthy.
4. Heated Bonnet
In order to properly get the benefits out of a deep conditioner, use a heated bonnet. The heat helps to gently open up the hair follicles. Once the hair follicles open up, the deep conditioner treatment has an easier time penetrating through the shaft and moisturizing the hair. If you don’t use any heat, the deep conditioner simply sits on top of the strands and does nothing.
5. Denman Brush
A Denman brush is really helpful for detangling the hair. Brushing and combing the hair will rip out the hair over time. Denman brushes are gentle and while finger detangling is ideal, detangling with a Denman brush is the next best thing.
